Now that the Metaverse is here (apparently) it seems that everything is in 3D today. That includes 3D signage.3D signs get people’s attention.

Yes, signs that have three dimensions. Why would you want that? Because when you have a sign, it is usually because you want people to take notice of it and take some form of action.

OK, there are some signs which are just generic like “Gents”, “Ladies”, “Exit”, and so on, but those just tell people where to go under certain circumstances. So, for instance, if you need the gents, that is where you need to go, not to the ladies. And if you need the ladies, you don’t want to go to the exit door.

But the vast majority of signs are there to do a job, and that job is to persuade the viewer to take the action that you want him or her to take.

So, it follows that the more attractive/noticeable/persuasive the sign is, the more chance there is of the viewer taking the action that you want.

All right, it may be midnight and your restaurant or whatever is closed, but people walking home from the bar will see it and it will register in their minds. “Oh, look. A new Chinese restaurant. Maybe we should give that a try”.

They could even have walked past your restaurant in daylight and not noticed it, but when you have a 3D sign that is lit up in the evening, they cannot miss it.
